Completing a degree program in natural resources conservation prepares workers for environmental jobs such as forester and rangeland manager. Most natural resources conservation degree programs offer several concentration areas to allow students the opportunity to specialize in various conservation subfields. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) stated that foresters work with government officials and landowners in an attempt to protect and conserve forested locations (www.bls.gov). Foresters employ several conservation techniques, including planting new trees, controlling which trees will be cut down, monitoring tree disease rates and making preparations, to limit wildfire damage. Some foresters provide recommendations to landowners concerning methods of making lucrative investments from forested areas while still conserving the natural resources.

Such Conduits provide the opportunity for students to access resources after hours, a way for parents to stay informed about their child’s education, or to continue teaching children at home, and can provide a repository of new classroom materials and lesson plans for teachers.
Conduit powers close to 4000 community toolbars dedicated to education. These conduits include academic and public library research tools, school district community toolbars, and other organizational tools such as the ones offered by Professional Learning Board (The Teaching Toolbar), Curriculum Choice (The Homeschool Gadget), The Westwood Community Junior School community toolbar, The TeacherTube community toolbar, and many others.

It showcases the achievements of the students, highlighting classroom work, providing updates on school activities, events, class curriculum, and other fun links for parents to share with their children and continue the learning process at home.

Created by the Professional Learning Board, provides an always-on resource for K-12 teachers and staff, including professional development, safety resources, and the opportunity to chat directly with other users, provide feedback, and offer new resources to the PLB team. Teachers using the Teaching Toolbar are also able to purchase supplies, materials, books, and download other classroom resources directly from their conduit.
